Lafayette -- Raymond E. McCloud, 54, of Lafayette, died at 430 p.m. Saturday in Home Hospital here. Mr. McCloud was a field representative for the Social Security Office here. He had lived in Lafayette since 1946. He resided at South Bend before coming here. He was born in Crawfordsville and was married to Dorothy Elkin in 1940. Mr. McCloud was a graduate of Crawfordsville High School and Fort Wayne Business College. He also attended Purdue University. He served in the U. S. Air Force during World War II. He was a member of Congress Street Methodist Church, F&AM Lodge, OES, High Twelve Club, Elks Lodge and American Legion here and Scottish Rite of Indianapolis. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Congress Street Methodist Church here with Rev. Barton E. Fletcher officiating. Interment will be in Masonic Cemetery at Crawfordsville. Friends may pay their respects at Zahn-Schneider Funeral home here after 3 p.m. Monday.
